Celebrating over 60 years in Don Mills, the Don Mills Civitan Club has been instrumental in providing support to families.  While best known for our hockey programs, we are active in many areas and place a major emphasis on projects and programs assisting special needs children in our community. 

Some of our notable contributions to the Don Mills community include:

• Instrumental in raising the funding for the building of the Don Mills Civitan Arena in late 1950's. Continue to run one of Toronto’s oldest your hockey leagues
• Major contributor to the founding of 'Eva's Place'.  This is the shelter for challenged and homeless youths located near Leslie Street in Don Mills.
• Provide scholarships each year through Don Mills Collegiate Institute to graduates with developmental or physical challenges in order to help fund their post secondary education or workforce integration.
• Established the “Donaldson Diamonds Program”, our Don Mills teams for participants with developmental challenges.
• Program partner with Don Mills Collegiate Institutes’ Best Buddies program in support of developmentally delayed students at the school.
• Continuous support for local families in need

Our charitable work begins with our fund raising efforts that culminates every year with our Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction where the community comes together for an evening of fun and camaraderie.  As with most events we are hopeful to restart this event again this spring; stay tuned for more details and how you can participate.
