Annual Dinner Dance and Sillent Auction is back

Our annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction is back in 2024!

Date: Friday April 19th, 2024.  Time 6:30pm

Location: Parkview Manor, 55 Barber Greene Rd #1, North York, ON

This is the clubs primary fund-raiser, which is run entirely by volunteers.  So 100% of the money raised goes to support local causes.
Civitan's purpose is to serve the community.  This is done by fulfilling the human needs that are not met by other organizations or by individual efforts.  Individuals whose needs are best met through organized group action are prime candidates for Civitan service projects. In all they do, Civitan seek experiences that provide life direction, character building, leadership development, and satisfaction of helping others.  As a result of this work, a Civitan typically experience a heightened sense of self-esteem and accomplishment. 
Celebrating over 60 years, the Don Mills Civitan Club has been instrumental in providing the youth within our community a venue to participate in Club sponsored activities while at the same time instilling values such as teamwork, responsibility, fair play and leadership.
Civitan places major emphasis on projects which assist people with mental and developmental disabilities.  Some of our notable contributions in the Don Mills community include:

- Instrumental in raising the funding for Don Mills Civitan Arena in the late 1950's.
- Major contributor to the founding of "Eva's Place". This is a shelter for challenged and homeless youths located near Leslie Street in Don Mills.
- Provide scholarships each year through Don Mills Collegiate Institute to graduates with developmental or physical challenges in order to help fund their post-secondary education or workforce integration.
- Established the "Donaldson's Diamonds Program" our Don Mills teams for participants with developmental challenges.
- Continuous support for local families in need and our local food bank.

- Attending our Banquet and Silent Auction on Friday April 19th, 2024.  Time 6:30pm. You can purchase tickets on our website.
- Cost $95 Includes Dinner, Open Bar, Dancing, Silent Auction and the time of your life!
- Direct sponsorship for this fun filled evening.
- Making a cheque donation, please make payable to Don Mills Civitan.
- Donating items for our silent auction.  Items that we are looking for include hockey, basketball, soccer, football tickets, gift certificates to restaurants, spa's, golf passes, new clothing, movies etc.
- Please contact one of our members regarding charitable donation receipts.

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Don Mills Civitan organization we want to give a huge thank you for your support of our Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction fund raiser.

With your help we were able to raise over $15,000 and have a terrific time doing it.  Getting together with friends, family and neighbors reminds us how important human connections are how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful community.

The funds raised will help us reach out to families and youth in need, develop leadership programs for young people and provide support for people with special needs.  We will be updating our website soon so please check back to see our progress.
